Types of technology in the classroom

 1. 1. Technology in the Classroom
Amber Britson (Frampton)
2. 2. There are many different types of technologies that are available for the classroom, for example…
3. 3. Elmo Projector
The main purpose of an Elmo™ projector is to display documents and other objects that are not translucent -- in other words, documents that are not made with transparencies. These documents require a video camera and projection lens in order to work properly.
4. 4. Eggspert
Eggspert is the flashing, beeping, buzzing, interactive game system that can be used anywhere in the classroom. It has two fun game modes - Quiz Show and Wheel of Fortune
5. 5. Smartboard
Smartboardis an interactive white board that allows the teacher to project an image from a laptop to the front of the room and the teacher can then digitally draw on that image.
6. 6. Projector
Projectors hook up to the teacher's laptop and projects the screen from the laptop to the white board in the front of the room, by doing this it allows students to see a larger version of what is on the laptop screen.
7. 7. Classroom PCs
Personal PCs can store a student's work more efficiently than folders. Bulky encyclopedias and dictionaries are unnecessary if every student can access the Internet on his or her own time using a personal computer. This allows for students to be more intune with their learning by allowing them to have their own personsal computer.
8. 8. Calculator Based Laboratory System
Portable hand-held data collectors, probe ware and a graphing calculators used as laboratory instruments to collect and manage data.
9. 9. Computer Software
Students can use software that quizzes their comprehension of a book, checks for their recall of math facts, or includes an interactive lab complete with a virtual dissection.
10. 10. Television
Televisions can be used to show instructional DVDs or to be able to watch important current events, such as 9-11 or presidential elections.
