In this powerpoint we were able to come up with a lesson, explain it, and list questions for the child to answer. There were links that would tell the child if they got the question right or wrong. This was very educational and I plan on using this one in my classroom

What is a syllable?
-A syllable is a single uninterrupted sound that
is in every single word.
Some words can have just one syllable, but some
words can have more than one syllable.

The sound of where the word breaks up is called
the syllable.
Sometimes its easy to feel where the word is
supposed to break up by touching your throat when
you say the word
Or, you can clap the words..
Lets try some!

If you do not understand do not worry! Try this
activity! Hold your lips together while you try to say
the words. ( Make duck lips) You should be able to
feel where the syllables are! Watch these children!

Sometimes its easy to use charts to see how the
number of syllables in a word can grow as the word
grows. Such as this:
