But The 2014 Businesses Texting Customer Survey (http://Autosend.io/SMS-Survey) shows there’s nothing to be afraid of. In fact, there are some surprising insights in this SMS marketing study that show you might not be texting your customers enough.

Here are just some of the interesting things we discovered in the text message marketing survey:

1. 70% of the people surveyed said they liked receiving text messages in general.
2. Over 52% of them get text messages from their friends the most. This is a perfect opportunity to start a referral program using text messages.
3. Most of those surveyed say they’ve received an SMS from a business before. Don’t be the 25% not getting the amazing results text message marketing can bring.
4. Believe it or not, the survey found that your customers actually want text messages from you. In fact, 50% of those surveyed said they wouldn’t mind if a business send text messages to them one to five times a week or more. This is shocking since so many businesess are so hesistant to “bother” their customers with text messages.

Text messages could be a huge win for businesses looking to improve their customer support.

The 2014 Businessess Texting Customers Survey revealed that 40% of those surveyed said they would like to receive customer support via text message.

This can be a huge way for customer-centric businesses to stand out.

It’s not just good news for the customer-focused businesses. Websites, SaaS, web app, and mobile app businesses can also win texting their customers too.

48% of those surveyed said they’d like to receive a text message from a business when they have problems on a website.

Even more said they wouldn’t mind getting an SMS message from businesses when they have problems in a mobile app.
