0 On your own or with a partner, read the entire article.
Download the article from our Google Classroom and
pull it up to your screen.
0 Read the entire article on your own, taking notes
using the comment tool as you read.
0 By the end of the reading period you should be able to
identify and highlight the author’s main claim.

0 Read your notes from yesterday from the article and
your highlighted claim.
0 Round 2: Collaboration
0 Share your thoughts with a partner. Note any
similarities and differences in your notes.
0 Round 3 Connections
0 Add one new comment to your notes that captures
this new information from your partner.

4. Second Read of the Article
0 Together we are going to reread the article and
highlight evidence that supports our claim.
0 We will take time to discuss each paragraph,
eventually reading the paragraphs independently or
with a partner as we take notes together.
0 By the end of the period we will share our evidence.
