2. Milk Life is the new Got Milk
The iconic Got Milk? tagline has been around since 1995. But
as of this month, Milk Life is the new Got Milk?
Got Milk? became well known as an American advertising
campaign that encouraged the consumption of milk thanks
to the smart guys at ad agency Goodby Silverstein & Partners
for the California Milk Processor Board in 1993 and later
licensed for use by milk processors and dairy farmers.

3. The campaign raised milk’s profile and increased sales in California. But
nationwide it didn’t get people to drink more milk. Consumption has
been declining since the 1970s.
According to Adweek, research shows that “Got Milk?” was the most
remembered tagline in history, outstripping those of beer and soft
drink companies with budgets many times the size of ours. It is so
ubiquitous, in fact, that people don’t think of it as a tagline anymore.
Like Apple, simplicity is the way to go.

4. Over the years, the ads have featured
celebrities such as Elton John, Katie Couric,
Bill Clinton and David Beckham.
Guess we won’t be seeing Superman and
others with their milkstaches anymore.
Now we’ll see how milk allegedly powers
celebs and common folk power through
everyday life (sans moustache).
