2. Putting Storyboard ideas together
When we got put together into a group of seven we all had to create a
storyboard/storyline idea and pick three out of seven.
The storyline ideas we chosen were:
• Megan’s, Green screen trailer idea
• Ashley’s, fight/argument scene
• Harley’s, Talking/ gossiping scene
Each of the three ideas had happened in a previous trailer/ episode of
the only way is Essex so all we had to do was research into there dress
codes, then put our own twist onto it.
3. Creating a parody
A parody is a piece of creative work which is designed to make fun of a
show which is currently out on TV at the moment. A parody normally
tends to make fun of original work, an artist or a hot topic.
Our parody was originally set out to make fun of the only way is
Essex, through dialogue, dress code and appearance.
The whole point of our parody was to over exaggerate everything, this
was mainly done via make up, most parody’s are fun however some
can be serious if desired. This could have a more humorous affect on
the audience.
4. Manchester filming
The lesson before we went on the Manchester filming task we planned
out what we would need to create successful footage.
The dress code for the girls was:
• Heels
• Dresses
• Fake tan
• Extravagant make up/eyelashes.
The dress code for the boys was:
• Smart clothes e.g. suits.
• “Reem” look so smart and well groomed
If everyone arrives in costume the footage would be much easier film
due to the costumes being one of the trickiest parts of the filming.
5. Where will we film?
For our soap trailer we have to get crucial scenes to make the trailer
interesting for the audience, we decided we will film in these places:
• Arndale
• Courtyard/pub
• St Anne's square
• Piccadilly train station
• Piccadilly gardens
• Inside some high street market stores.
These areas of filming could create some good locations for our chosen
storylines.
