3. This problem can be fixed through informing the
government or even the localities of the problem. People
should act immediately and clean the area around the
drainage to cause no more disturbances and hazards to
the people living in the area.
This drainage system was not properly monitored by the
government and even the localities living in the area. This
misconduct caused flood which greeted the people early in
the morning in Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City.

5. This is such a critical problem can be resolved through
finding another use for the materials that are not of
importance or by recycling. Minimizing the use of plastics
and cellophanes can even be a better solution and
maximizing the use of paper bags but not to the point that
the trees are all cut to make papers and are not replaced.
This area in Zayas, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City is made
to be a dumping site or as we call landfill of mixed rubbish
materials gathered from all over the city. The area wasn’t a
problem until such time that the garbage are in excess of
the capacity of the area and the only solution to reduce it is
by burning which by all means leads to the destruction of
land and can eventually add up to the rising air pollution.

6. Immoral Mining

7. This problem can be fixed through informing the
government of the problem. They should inspect the areas
in the city prone to mining and properly check every
proposed project to them related to mining so that they’ll
not be tricked by greedy people whose aim is to only get
rich and not caring about the environment.
Mining in several parts of Cagayan de Oro City without
legal permit from the government is incredibly high in
number. This caused the destruction of the land areas in
the city and it even turned out to be one of the cause of
water pollution because of the chemicals used in the
process of mining that weren’t properly disposed and were
let flowing on rivers.
