Conclusion
 Informal settlers are one of the big problems we need
to address. They do not only cause the over population,
but they also contribute a lot on pollution.
Since they do not have a proper drainage or a proper
waste management. They tend to just throw their
waste away in rivers and creeks.
Conclusion
 Proper disposal of waste are needed in some cities in
the metro. Some do not implement the segregation of
waste. Some cities also have problems in
implementing laws on waste management. Yes, they
do have a law. But no one is following it. Hence, the
cause of flooding and sickness of the people.
Conclusion
 Drainage System should be addressed to the
authorities by alarming them the risk it will create to
the people living in that specific location.
Air pollution - give the authorities an eye opener on
what could possibly the consequence if they did not
 respond to this problem.
Make them realize it’s their duties to act on these
 problems.
Conclusion
 Strengthening the DRRM of the country is a big help.
Laws and acts are in place for this. The country is hit
by natural disasters every year. And through a strong
DRRM, we can lower the damage on people and their
 property.
Conclusion
 Low lying areas in some cities are hard to address. Just
like in manila. In espanya to be exact. Even though
they make an effort of making it a high street, some
places and establishments still are experiencing flood.
Just like UST. Making an effort to fix or improve the
drainage system can be of help.
Conclusion
 Fire can be prevented through proper education on
community. This problem can never vanish but it can
be minimalized. Through awareness and education.
Conclusion
 Preparedness on calamities and disasters is the only
way this problem can be fixed. No one can stop this
from happening. So the government should just be on
alert before, during and after calamities and disasters.
They should be of assistance to the community
 throughout the phenoenon.
Conclusion
 Some cities are now fighting with pollution. Most of
the cities in the metro manila are now implementing
the “no plastic policy”. This reduces the production
and usage of plastic in the cities. Through this, the
people and community can prevent flooding and
pollution. Plastic is one of the cause of flooding in
most of the areas here in metro manila.
Conclusion
 Good governance can be of help in preventing and
coping up with disasters. Some allocate funds for
DRRM on their cities rather than putting it in their
own pockets. With funds for DRRM, cities can easily
 cope up with disasters.
Conclusion
 Recycling can be a way of helping the community cope
up with disasters. This can prevent flooding and fire.
Some cities are already doing this. I say that the others
 should follow.
