Form Factor <ul><li>ATCA versus µ TCA </li></ul><ul><ul><li>For once, we agree with the conventional wisdom </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>A logical role for each; uTCA at the end office and data centers; ATCA in telco cores </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Since a lot of new installations (particularly for wireless and data centers) are at the edge of the network, 80% of xTCA cards will be uTCA </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>However, we suspect that 80% of profits will be made in ATCA, due to heavier switching fabric and software component </li></ul></ul><ul><li>ATCA 300 </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Larger boards->more feature/function! </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Quad AMC- µ TCA: more connector space </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Power over Ethernet as a market driver </li></ul></ul>
