1. Sunrise Radio
When we visited Sunrise
radio I learnt that they
help to promote local
events over the radio. By
doing this they reach a
much wider range of
people.
The radio station also
entertains the local
community through the
radio station.
They also have there own
television station and
recording studio. This
means they can also make
an advert to show on the
TV station.
Whilst we were there i
overhead one of the staff
creating a radio advert for
an upcoming event that
would soon be played on
the radio.
2. Waterman's Theatre
When we visited
Waterman's Theatre we
had a look around the
auditorium and the back
stage areas.
The stage
manager, Ian, told us
that although he loved
his job, it does mess up
your social life by having
to work day, night and
Weekends.
Next door to the theatre
there is a Cinema that
regularly shows films. This
is great as it means the
local community don’t
have to travel far to watch
the latest film.
On some week day
mornings they show
Cartoons and Kids films so
that parents can bring
there young children.
3. Pitshanger Art Gallery
We were not allowed to
take any photos inside
the Art Gallery but this is
from the outside.
Pitshanger have a
different exhibit every
couple of weeks and
anyone is allowed to
come and see the art
work.
After we looked around
the gallery we had a chat
with the Gallery Director.
Se explained that anyone
can have there art work
exhibited in the Gallery.
She said that she also
loved her job and only has
to work out of hours when
there is a function or Art
Party.
