Dress Code Policy in DE LA SALLE
         CANLUBANG.

ANGELA P. ALMENDRALA
Why do you think there is
dress coding in Schools?
Dress code?
THE PROBLEMS
The PROBLEM
Student can’t wear
 the clothes they
       want.
Repeated violations results
  to community service and
        suspensions
Some students don’t come to
school because they have no
corporate attire to wear.
Additional
expenses on buying
another clothes
every week.
Student cannot avoid wearing
shorts and sleeveless shirts
because of the hot weather.
For men, they
usually wear
slippers and
any
combinations
shorts even
though it is
not allowed.
Sometimes
students
tend to
forget the
dress code.
Some students are
  HARD HEADED.
SATISFACTION
It doesn't allow student to
     express themselves
We are MATURE
   ENOUGH.
The way we dress ourselves
has nothing to do with
school work.
It might go BORING.
VISUALIZATION
A dress code makes students
not to attend class because
they know that they can't
come as they are and
represent themselves and do
what they are supposed to do
without being told what they
should wear or should do.
In a college or university
everyone is considered an
          ADULT.
As studies show that
enforcing a dress code can
prevent students from
reaching their creative and
self-expressive potential.
They are getting tired of
the dress code.
ACTION
What to do…
 All should be involved in the planning, not
just the school board or administration. But
also parents and students should be involved
in the planning to ensure good compliance.

 DEMOCRATIC ELECTION
THE END

Editor's Notes

  1. 2009 Ms. MavickAgbisit
  2. AccordingEducational institutions, dress code are created to inspire students to express themselves as individuals. Being who is he or she is what the main focus of a college and university is and the self-expressive notion of dress code is a major epidemic in school. Dress code is just a personality and a communication to others and a signal of what and who is he or she stands for.
  3. Sometimes we feel bad when the clothes we want to wear are inappropriate for the school’s dress code. Especially for us girls, most of the beautiful and fashionable clothes violate the dress code policy here in DLSC.
  4. Most lasallians students keep wearing clothes that violate the dress code policy. They take for granted the consequences that they may received in violating the dress code. Which resulted for suspension or community service.
  5. I know students who uses the corporate attire day as a reason for skipping or not attending school.
  6. It is uncomfortable to wear the same set of clothes during corpo day every week. So some of us buys new clothes weekly.
  7. We cannot avoid to wear dress above knee, shorts and sleeveless or sando type because of the hot weather here in our country.
  8. For those who live near here in our school or the Dormers. They feel lazy to change their clothes.
  9. When we buy clothes, we dont usually think of dress codes. We just buy what we think will look good for us
  10. Some student deliberately violate the dress code. They’re not following it.
  11. It doesn't allow student to express themselves, we can't dress for the weather, and it doesn't let us choose how we want to look because it's supposedly a distraction.
  12. College students are mature enough to know what to wear & what not to wear. If someone is creating a problem he or she should be told about it by the college authorities instead of making whole college suffer.
  13. We are here in school to study so that it doesn't matter whatever we wear unless we are studying. Fashion is not connected to our studies so that why do we need Dress code.
  14. We already experienced the dress code in schools (high schools and elementary) so if we repeat this then the college might go boring. College life is far different from high school life.
  15. No one should be told what to wear. We should have our own decision. Adolescence is a time of learning how to function in society, including how to dress.
  16. Their talents in being creative, designing and showing their self-expressive will not develop when someone is controlling it.
  17. According to one of our school authorities, they are also tired of the dress code because of the stubborn students who keep on violating this policy.
  18. In order to successfully implement any dress code
  19. Dress codes that occur without community involvement can be controversy.DEMOCRATIC Election – MAJORITY WIN ; There should be participation by the student and the authorities.
