This document discusses designing an information literacy program for K-12 students. It defines information literacy and describes the abilities of information literate people. It provides examples of how an information literacy program could be integrated into the K-12 curriculum at different grade levels from kindergarten through high school. It also discusses essential elements for designing an effective information literacy program, such as understanding student development, having administrative support, and integrating information literacy skills into language arts classes.
