This document discusses introducing peace education in Cameroonian schools to promote sustainable development. It finds that while peace education is nominally included in the curriculum starting in 5th form, it is not consistently implemented across the education system and lacks trained teachers. There are also ongoing conflicts threatening internal cohesion. It recommends strengthening peace education by expanding the curriculum, training more teachers, and addressing the root causes of conflicts in Cameroon like unequal development and threats to diversity.
