2. Ex 34:12 Take heed to thyself , lest thou make a cove-nant with the inhabitants of the land whither thou goest, lest it be for a snare in the midst of thee: God said, "I will use you to drive them out, but don't you dare make any covenants with them. They will be a snare to you. Snare = Like a noose around the neck or a hook through the nose.

3. 13 But ye shall destroy their altars, break their images, and cut down their groves: 14 For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: 15 Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee , and thou eat of his sacrifice;

4. 16 And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods. 17 Thou shalt make thee no molten gods. You will party with them and marry them. Partake of their sins.

6. 2 Corinthians 6 14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? We need to decide who we are and be who we are. Are you light ; have no fellowship with darkness. Are you a Christian gentleman ; act like it. Are you a Christian lady ; then be one. Seek the company of other sincere children of God to be your closest and best friends.

7. We will see as we continue to study the story of the Israelites that they ignored this principle : They allowed the pagan nations to live among them . They partied and intermarried with them. God allowed His people to be overcome by enemies, taken captive, and enslaved. If it happened to them, it will happen to us.

8. Deuteronomy 30 (NIV) 19 This day I call Heaven and earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death , blessings and curses . Now choose life , so that you and your children may live 20 and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the Lord is your life , … If we hang out with unbelievers or backsliders, we will begin to do as they do. When we make bad choices , we choose death instead of life .

9. We must live by every Word of God. God teaches us to do those things that will bring blessing; And He warns us agains t those things that will bring harm into our lives. We must listen to His Voice and obey Him. The Lord is our life .

10. God has warned us to choose our friends carefully; Choose friends who walk closely with God; Choose friends who obey every Word of God.

11. 18 The feast of unleavened bread shalt thou keep. Seven days thou shalt eat unleavened bread, as I commanded thee, in the time of the month Abib: for in the month Abib thou camest out from Egypt. "Keep all the rules I've already given you." The feasts were celebrations of God's deliverance. They didn't need the Canaanite's parties, because God had given them times to party And the way to party.

12. We don't need the pleasures of this world. God has given us every pleasure , if we will just choose to enjoy life His Way. John 10 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. Life to the max

13. 19 All that openeth the matrix ( firstborn) is Mine; and every firstling among thy cattle, whether ox or sheep, that is male . 20 But the firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem with a lamb: and if thou redeem him not, then shalt thou break his neck. All the firstborn of thy sons thou shalt redeem. And none shall appear before Me empty. We have heard this before ; God is saying it again. Give back to God the firstfruits of all His blessings, in recognition that it is His blessing.

14. Proverbs 3 9 Honor the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: 10 So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine. With God's blessings, 90% can go farther than 100%. If we really believe in God's Blessing , we will have no trouble paying tithes and giving offerings.

15. Haggai 1 6 Ye have sown much, and bring in little; ye eat, but ye have not enough; ye drink, but ye are not filled with drink; ye clothe you, but there is none warm; and he that earneth wages earneth wages to put it into a bag with holes. That's what happens when God's people ignore Him and go their own way; Keep all for self, neglecting the house of God, and ignoring the poor and needy.

16. 21 Six days thou shalt work, but on the seventh day thou shalt rest: in earing time and in harvest thou shalt rest. Even in the busiest times, take time to rest; Take time to honor God. When we honor God, God will honor us with blessing.

17. It's all a matter of trust. Just as with paying tithes and trusting God to bless the remaining 90% to go farther, We set aside a day to rest from this world's labors and worship our Lord, Trusting Him to make six days more productive than seven.

18. Trust and obey, for there's no other way, To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.
