Our Art Work We looked at some artists work in You tube using MS Paint. We gathered some ideas about how we could improve our own art work and tried them out.
I had to practice rubbing out parts that didn’t work because it was hard to use the mouse to start with. Then I got better. I could use some of the ideas I got at art class like drawing the shapes of the person. I used some auto shapes for the feet and the ball. Fletcher
I had to make a rectangle body, curved arms and thick, rectangle legs. I drew the feet with a paint brush so you could see the toes. I used the magnifying glass to make it bigger so I could add the details to my face. Dylan
I started with the head and added the eyes with the circle auto-shapes. I used a straight line for the mouth and pulled it down in the middle to make it smile. I added the colour with the paint pot – that was easy. The hard bit was trying to draw the arms. I’m going to practice that for next time. Emma
I think this is a frustrating programme to learn but I learnt to never give up. I just kept trying to draw the picture I wanted and rubbed out the edges and the mistakes like the artist’s did in the youtube videos. I’m very happy with my picture and next time I’m going to try a car with lots of details. Jack R
I decided to try drawing using mostly the auto-shapes. It was easier than using the mouse with my right hand. I think it looks good but next time I think I’d change my skin colour and erase some of the lines to tidy it up a bit. I know how to mix the colours so I’m going to teach other people. Josh
I learned that if the lines aren’t joined up the paint pot changes the whole page colour ! It took me a while to find out where the line was broken and join it up. I learned to never give up and I stuck at it. I’m pleased with it. I like the mohawk hair cut because I used the spray can first to get the frizzy look. I need to practice some more at home. Matthew
It was hard to start with because I had to rub the whole head out and start again. Then I magnified it to do the details. I needed to be careful with the stripes but I’m happy with the way they look. I want to get more practice then I know I can do it even better. Tishan
