1. Process Journal - Almost ready to paint Monday May 3rd
What you did?
Today, I used a garnet paper and file to file my toy and delete names and pencil line in my toy. I used a
garnet paper, I can get rid of pencil line very easily because this tool is very effective to get rid of pencil
line. I used a file too. I think using garnet paper and get rid of pencil line was very easy and simple. I just
had to use a garnet paper and scratch it but I had to spend some power to it because if we do not scratch
strongly, we can’t get rid of pencil line very easily.
Changes to your plan
I thought I will paint my toy soon but I think I still had lots of work to do before paint my toy. I have to get
rid of pencil line first than I have to use P.V.A. because I have to attach my head part of toy to body shape of
toy. My head part of toy is very dangerous and it can break out very easily.
Next things to do
I think I have to use a garnet paper to get rid of pencil lines but I already get rid of pencil lines so I think I
have to make sure there are no pencil lines. Than, I have to use P.V.A. to attach my head part of toy and
body shape of toy I will need brush, P.V.A., pallet. Than finally I can paint my toy with green and blue
color.
Emotion
I am very pleased that I am almost ready to paint because I always want to see my perfect toy with color.
Also, I am scared about my head part of toy too because it may break out very easily. If it breaks out, I
maybe I have to do my toy again. So I am scared about my head shape and I want to use P.V.A.
AOI
I think this project is relating to Human Ingenuity because I am on creating stage and I will create a toy for
children soon. I wrote plan for it, I researched about moving toy and I marked out on wood than I cut it with
a coping saw, I sand and disk sand it, I used P.V.A. to attach body shape and two arcs and I am almost ready
to finish it.
Learner Profile
I think I am a risk taker because I am using a garnet paper and I have to get rid of pencil lines and I also
have to get rid of pencil lines on head part of toy. I have to be careful because my head part of toy can break
out very easily.
Why I did it?
I used a garnet paper to get rid of pencil lines because a perfect product doesn’t have any pencil lines. When
I plan it, I marked out my toy with a pencil and I have to write my name to identify my toy. So there are lots
of pencil lines on my toy so I have to get rid of that because it is messy if it has lots of pencil lines.

2. Process Journal - Starting to paint 4th May Tuesday
What you did?
Today, I started to paint my toy with blue color and green color. I think green color is very good for my
head part of toy and tail part of toy because most dragons are green and blue color represent a happy colour
so it will be friendly to children. I used blue color in two arcs because
Most children like blue color and blue color is friendly too.
I used many tools in this project. I used a brush to paint it and nailed block to hold the project and let the wet
paint dry and spare paper to stop the bench getting paint on it.
Changes to your plan
I thought that I needed to sand my toy again. But I think most pencil lines were sanded off last
time/disappeared so I can paint my toy. I think I will finish my toy soon but I have to paint my toy very
carefully before that. I had many problems in choosing what color that I use to paint my toy. First, I think
green is good for head and tail so I used it but I had problems in arcs I used yellow but I changed my plan to
use blue color.
Next things to do
I think I have to finish painting by using blue color to side part and two arcs part of my toy. Than, I finished
up my toy. I can see a perfect toy with blue color and green color of my dragon toy very soon.
Emotion
I am very pleased about my toy because I thought I can’t get to paint my toy by today because I still had lots
of work to do but I can paint my toy. I think painting my toy is fun and interesting project because it is easy
and safe. Also, now, I started to see my perfect toy and I am expecting final structure of my toy.

I was a thinker because I have to think about which part that I will paint with blue color and I have to think
which part I will paint with green color. Also I have to be careful because if I am not concentrating to
painting, it will be messed up.
Why I did it?
I painted my toy because a perfect product has colors. Also, children will like a colorful toy more because a
toy without color is very boring and do not interesting. I painted head by green color because most dragons
are green and I painted two arcs with blue because blue is friendly to children and well match with green
