    • Web 2.0 is *so* over . Really now, we’ve been stuck on “v2” for 4-5 years now, haven’t we? Iterate already!
    • Online Advertising will be hit hard by US recession . Expect some pullback from Google, Yahoo, MSFT and financial advertisers in particular.
    • VCs are getting nervous again ; money may dry up if Google ever has an earnings “hiccup” (watch Thursday)
    • WAY TOO MANY startups with nothing more than 1 web page for a product. Feature-itis is killing me.
  3. Summary: The Good 
    • The fuzzily-defined movement known as Web 2.0 continues to expand . Costs are lower, features are better, more people & ideas to try out & monetize.
    • Market downturns should be softened by overall continuing growth in online advertising & e-commerce .
    • VCs will succeed & VCs will fail, but there will always be plenty of cash available if you’ve got a good idea .
    • Getting a Web 2.0 startup off the ground is easier & less costly than ever … but still thousands of ideas to try.
