updated sources of law to the SC Library
and its 20 network libraries, the entire
judiciary in the Philippines, law schools and
even the public.

documents or “archival collection.”

ARCHIVAL COLLECTION
Primary - sources of law – laws and
court decisions.
Secondary - Annotations,
Commentaries, Treaties, etc. covered by
Philippine copyright laws and there are
already available Ebooks.
4. MODES OF DIGITIZING
ARCHIVES
Option I
a. Scan the original document - Image
(any file type such as tiff or jpeg)
b. Organize these Image file by
choosing the appropriate software
c. Access is through this software
5. OPTION II
a. Scan the original document - Image (any file type
such as tiff or jpeg)
b. Image File (tiff file) is converted to word file
using an OCR (Abby Finereader). Another copy
of the Image file is keep for back-up and step e
c. Edit the converted file
d. Upload the data in the local server
e. Fetch files from the local server to be indexed
using Dtsearch software
f. Upload in the E-Library database
e. Reprogram where link can be made to the image
file. (Pending)
