2. Management, even if it is approached in the US, Japan or
Romania, is both an art and a science. It is an "art" because it
requires power of judgment and adaptability to changing
situations, many of which occur due to the actions of other
people ; other managers subordinates, customers, suppliers,
competitors - all interacting in a huge game that affect the
success or failure of a particular manager and affect or influence
the profitability and even survival of the company. Many of those
studying management define it as "the art of making goals and
the men and other resources".
3. Management is also a "science" that has been studied and
found to have certain physical laws and rules that: when the
assembly line is supplied with raw materials or energy for
machining operations can not be productive.
When the sales staff can not provide the sale of all
products, creating a stock and production activity should be
reduced. When there are financial resources to upgrade
equipment or launch new products.
4. A good manager should know about the industry they work in the
company, to know technology, politics, competition and social
factors that may influence the industry.
So, study management can help those who become managers to
know the limits within which can operate now.
5. In conclusion management is an art that can be experienced by
people who have experience in making decisions and a science
that has rules that must be understood in any situation that arises
and some of these rules can be learned through study.
Up to a point we can say that managers management studies as
engineers and physicists studying engineering physics.
