Management comprises both art and science. It is an art because it requires judgment and adaptability to changing situations influenced by people. It is a science as it can be studied and principles developed through observation, research, and experimentation. While some rules of management can be learned, it also remains an art that must be applied based on each situation. Overall, management has elements of both art and science and cannot be purely categorized as one or the other.

2. Management is both an art and science.Almost anyone can learn
how to be a manager but the art of it is to become a great
manager.
Management is an art because it requires power of judgement
and adaptability to changing situations, many of which occur due
to the actions of other people.
Management in business and organizations is the function that
coordinates the efforts of people to accomplish goals
and objectives using available resources efficiently and
effectively.
Management comprises planning,organizing,staffing,leading or
directing and controlling an organization to accomplish the
goal.Resourcing encompasses the deployment and manipulation
of human resources,financial resources,technological resources
and natural resources.Management is also an academic discipline,
a social science whose objective is to study social organization.
3. Management as science relates when making observation of
experimental as well as making monitoring evaluation and
management as arts when deciding to choose suitable conceptual
during decision making.
I think management has elements of both art and science. It may
not be proper to term it as pure science or pure art.In fact,it is a
science as well as an art because science and art are both
complementary to each other. It may be concluded that there is
no hard and fast line between art and science of management.
4. Nature of managerial work
In profitable organizations
management's primary function is the
satisfaction of a range of stakeholders.
This typically involves making a profit
(for the shareholders),creating valued
products at a reasonable cost (for
customers) and providing great
employment opportunities for
employees.In nonprofit management add
the importance of keeping the faith of
donors.In most models of management
and governance shareholders vote for
the board of directors and the board
then hires senior management.Some
organizations have experimented with
other methods (such as employee-voting
models) of selecting or reviewing
managers but this is rare.

6. The principles of management have been developed and formulated
on the basis of observation, research, analysis and experimentation
and also based on relationship of cause and effect like other
sciences. The scientific management movement was the primary
driver of this perspective.
7. To conclude, management is an art that can be experienced by
people and a science that has rules that must be understood in any
situation and some of these rules can be learned through study.
