Wearable Technology – Google Tattoo
Wow! T he writing is on the wall when comes to the f uture of wearable technology.
It’s of f icial – Google has applied f or a patent on a wearable electronic skin tattoo which can be linked to
various mobile devices.
Come on f ellow Technitudites, honestly, don’t you f ind the notion absolutely thrilling? T his appears to be a
groundbreaking venture into radically dif f erent ways to interact with technology.
“The system comprises an electronic skin tattoo capable of being applied to the throat region of the
body. The electronic skin tattoo can include an embedded microphone; a transceiver for enabling
wireless communication.“
Google is calling it a tattoo but actually it’s just a sticker with a micro chip and power
source inside it.
Lets f ace it – I seriously doubt we’re going to see this thing out on the street within
the next 3 to 4 years but it does demonstrate that wearable technology is evolving.
Personally Mr. Technitude is holding his breath f or the E-Contact Lens.
Seriously though, research is already being done on a contact lens that contains
embedded electronics.
