1. “A Killer Serial about a Serial Killer”
Dexter Morgan (Michael C. Hall) – a Miami Metro police forensic blood splatter analysis expert during the day and serial killer at night. The novel Darkly Dreaming Dexter, by Jeff Lindsay has evolved and formed this phenomenal television series. This multi-award winning American drama produced by Clyde Phillips creator of such shows, “Suddenly Susan,” “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose,” and “Get Real,” has now moved on to this new blend of drama, comedy, horror and romance hit series presented on Showtime “Dexter”.
No one can get enough of this surprisingly easy to love serial killer. Dexter seems like a nice, normal, average person with a nice paying job, good looks, a sister, a girlfriend, two sons and a daughter what isn’t normal about that? However, underneath this charming guy is a serial killer with a code taught by his father Harry, Harry’s Code, only killing people like him, people who suffer with this other creature living inside of them. The fifth season finale aired on Sunday December 12 but the show is certainly not going away anytime soon. With no word on when the sixth season will start, Showtime has stated they do not want to see this successful show end.
Dexter is an attractive but disturbed guy who we all love! I absolutely love this television series; it has everything a TV series needs to become a hit. BLOOD, BLOOD, BLOOD, I love it! A killer serial about a serial killer who kills serial killers. Would you ever have thought this combination would be so pleasing and appealing? I think that one of the reasons why this show is so addicting is because there might be a little Dexter in all of us. This show is constantly shocking us all. It is one of those you cannot predict what will happen next. Great actors, great storyline, great show.
Hall is the perfect pick for this forbidden and familiar sociopath. You can just about see the monster prowling beneath his smirking face wanting to jump out. I love the way Dexter is able to use his charm to hide his real emotions. Never has a story captured me like “Dexter”. I love the rush I get trying to figure out week-by-week what will happen next.
