NSCS General Member Meeting Minutes 1-15-13Community ServiceSoup Kitchen sign-ups for January 27th and February 3rd.Mobile Food Pantry: contact Crystal the Community Service chair if you areinterested in volunteering quill1ca@cmich.eduWe are collecting items to donate to the Animal Shelter. Please visithttp://www.hatsweb.org/wish-list.php to see what is on their wish list!RUSHRUSH is the time when the school sends out invitations to those students whoqualify to be inducted into our club. When the invitations are sent out, we set uptables around campus to promote our club and get more members! Let a memberof e-board know if you are interested in helping us spread the news about ourclub!March to College DayIn March we will be having a March to College Day where we invite 8th gradersfrom around the area to get them excited and eager to further their educationbeyond high school. Please consider being part of a committee to help organizethis event. Email any member of e-board if you are interested.Lunch BuddiesWe are looking to get a group of NSCS members to take part in a Lunch Buddiesprogram with schools near the area. Lunch Buddies will go from 11:30-12:30. Ifyou are interested, email an e-board member whether Monday’s andWednesday’s or Tuesday’s and Thursday’s work better for you.RelayRelay for Life will take place on April 20th this year. The theme is “There’s No Placelike Hope” (Wizard of Oz). The website to sign up to support our team will be sent

More information on ways to get involved andaccording points will come.SGA1) MLK Day (1/21/13) Walk and East Vigil: 3p-5p ---buses transporting students from ResHalls to the UC ---meet at UC and walk to downtown2) American Sign Language hosts Deaf Performer ---Feb. 8, 2013 at 7pm in French Auditorium3) SAPA applications are still available ---visit sapa.cmich.edu for more information4) Relay for Life Kick-off Event ---Jan. 23 at the UC Rotunda5) Meet the Greeks (information sessions) ---7pm-9pm THIS Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the UCSpaghetti Dinner NightWe are working on organizing a Spaghetti Dinner Night in which members wouldsell tickets and we would hold the event. We are thinking about doing it aroundValentine’s Day and offer discounted prices for couple tickets. Our mailbox is number 31. These mailboxes are located in the lower level of the UC between the Volunteer Center and Textbook buyback location.
