Samuel L. Clemens is later in life known
as Mark Twain.
He was born on November 30, 1835 in
Florida, Missouri.
At age eleven, his father died due to
pneumonia.
At 18 he left his family and went to New
York City and Philadelphia for work.
He had success when it came down to
some of his articles that he wrote for many
different newspapers.

Twain marries Olivia Langdon
They have four children, but three die.
Facing these hard ships he continues
writing.
He writes famous poems, written pieces
and quotes.

Twain wrote many poems including “Warm summer sun, To Jennie, and O Lord, Our Father.”
