3. Americans call the night of July 13, 1977 "Night of fear." Then there was
a huge in size and consequences of the accident at the power grids
in New York. Due to lightning and power line in 25 hours 9 million New
Yorkers turned out to be without electricity. Tragedy of the financial
crisis was accompanied by unusually hot weather and the
unprecedented wave of crime. After a power outage on the
fashionable quarters of the city attacked the gang from poor
neighborhoods.
It was after those terrible events in New York, the term "blackout" has
become a commonly used in relation to accidents in the power industry.
