 Silently monitors teachers performance
 Gives information to parents about how well their
children are doing

 Schools can monitor which teachers need
improvement
 Helps with students who are behind in skills because
the teachers will be doing a better job

7.  Dishonesty in some schools
 Teachers manipulating the system to save their jobs
 Larger classrooms due to teachers that fail to meet
requirements after all consequences
 Higher dropout rate due to improper placement tests
 Money not being spent where it should be
 Mis-informed parents
 Only tests Math and Reading
 Veteran teachers moving to schools with less of a need
and leaving the schools who need the most help with
inexperienced teachers

9.  Do we continue with the act?
 Do we get rid if it altogether?
 Will the act eventually help the students and the
community?
 Is it a waste of money and time?
 Do teachers really try harder?
 Does it really improve education?
