The design of your ppt should match your purpose. Are you making this presentation to inform? Maybe you are introducing a new product or procedure. Are you making a sales presentation? You will want the ppt to show the best qualities of your product. Are you training someone (like this ppt) You will want the important steps highlighted in the ppt.
Keep it simple Do not overload with too much information on the slide Do not use the ppt to deliver your whole report Do use the ppt to highlight the important points Do use your presentation to fill in the rest of the details
Too many different fonts are hard to focus on Too many images crowd the slide, and distract the viewer 5 lines – brief information– no full sentences Animation will distract the viewer (unless you are posting to a website to run automatically) Transitions take time and can ruin the timing for a speaker
Every slide should have the same background , font and colors The clipart should have the same feel/ design or color Templates are a great tool ! Use them!
