1. ORKNEY COASTLINE CHALLENGE
We have 16 inhabited islands in Orkney (that means the islands that people live on).
For your next PE challenge I am going to ask you set yourself the challenge of walking,
running, scootering, skating, swimming the coastline distance of one of the islands on
the map below.
Some of the islands are much bigger than others so you might manage to walk the
equivalent of more than one small island or you can set yourself a personal or whole
family challenge and choose a larger island. You have 2 weeks to complete this
challenge.
With many people already making exercise part of their daily routine during lockdown,
this is a perfect way to encourage you to keep going, even on the poor weather days! I
know many families took part in the #doddieaid challenge for 5 weeks raising much
needed funds for research into MND, so hopefully this will be a continuation of you
being outside and active.
