The Trustees have pleasure in presenting their report together with the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2019.
The name and number of the Charity are:
OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
CURRENT TRUSTEES
There have been no changes to the Trustees in the period, other than as noted above. The position of secretary remains vacant.
The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) and was registered in its current legal form on 19 December
2013. It has a single tier structure and as such the Trustees are the members of the Charity.
The members of the Board are the Charity's Trustees. Membership of the Board is open to all members of the Charity, provided they
are not an employee of the Charity and have not been disqualified from being a Charity Trustee.
Trustees are elected at the annual general meeting of the Charity, or may be appointed by the Board. There must be a minimum of
three and a maximum of eight Trustees.

RESERVES POLICY

The Charity's income derives from membership fees, donations, grants and fundraising activities.
The preservation, restoration and conservation of St Nicholas Church in the parish of Holm, Orkney, for the benefit of the public in
general.
The provision of facilities for the improvement of the quality of life for the people of Holm, Orkney.
The principal activities of the Charity included continuing work on the expansion of our archive of materials for public information,
sanding and varnishing the sanctuary floor and the creation of shelving for storage. The principal expenditure in the period was
£1,087.78 on the work in the sanctuary and shelving, as well as £914.40 on the purchase of new chairs.
The Charity held a number of fundraising events in the year, including a Christmas fair and concert, the Holm 200 exhibition in July and
August and a concert celebrating the launch of the Scapa 100 book. The Charity was also lucky to have a week at the Blue Door which
generated £2,886.32. Further events are under consideration for the forthcoming year.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES
The Charity's purposes are:
The Charity's policy on reserves is to keep £ 3,000 protected in its account for contingencies, such as emergency repairs.
In the year ended 31 December 2019 there was a surplus of £ 5,372.81, (2018: surplus £1,137.69).

No remuneration was paid to the Trustees, although a small voucher costing £50 was given to the retiring secretary (2018: £Nil).
A payment of £660 for shelving was made to a firm in which one trustee has an interest (2018: £748.86).
Restricted funds may only be used for specific purposes. Restrictions arise when specified by the donor or when funds are raised
for specific purposes. During the year the Charity had no restricted funds.
NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
The cost of the Charity's AGM was £18.90 (2018: £18.90). No other payments were made relating to governance.
All payments relate to charitable activities.

These accounts have been prepared on the Receipts and Payments basis in accordance with the Charities & Trustee Investment
(Scotland) Act 2005 and the Charities Accounts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 (as amended).
Unrestricted funds are those that may be used at the discretion of the Trustees in furtherance of the objects of the Charity.
