1. ANALYSIS OF CASCADE REFRIGERATION SYSTEM
INTRODUCTION
Cascade system is a series of refrigerants with progressively lower boiling points are used in a series of
single stage units. The condenser of lower stage system is coupled to the evaporator of the next higher
stage system. The component where heat of condensation of lower stage refrigerant is supplied for
vaporizationof nextlevel refrigerantiscalledascascade condenser.
OBJECTIVE
1. Designof Cascade RefrigerationSystem
2. AnalysisonCascade RefrigerationSystem
3. DeterminigCoefficientOf Performance
METHODOLOGY
1. Literature survey
2. Problem Formulation
3. Selection of Refrigerant & compressors
4. Design using as per the model of system
5. Analysis of pressure
6. Calculation of COP
ADVANTAGES OF CASCADESYSTEMS:
1. Since eachcascade usesa differentrefrigerant, itispossible toselectarefrigerantthatisbest
suitedforthat particulartemperature range.Veryhighorverylow pressurescanbe avoided
2. Migrationof lubricatingoil fromone compressortothe otherisprevented
