  • At the beginning of a messaging campaign, our goal is awareness. The widespread ignorance across Black America regarding the 21st century Innovation is astounding! It will require all of our focus on just developing traction in creating awareness before we can begin to introduce measurements of actionable progress. The success of our awareness campaign will be measured by the amount of impact we have on mainstream and ethnic media in educating the public. Since we cannot determine the awareness level of the public, we will watch the media closely. In the same manner as media can make a celebrity a household name or the whole of society aware of a regional event (Sandy, Katrina, Japanese earthquake and nuclear meltdown), the amount of media coverage can have a significant impact on public awareness. Our goal is to develop a media beat on the landscape of inclusive innovation in the same way media orgs have reporters whose sole job is to cover education or sports or business or crime. The frontier of inclusive economic competitiveness is foreign to media and to Black America. But economic competitiveness isn't foreign to those who understand how this innovation economy works. And until we do, ala the awareness campaign, we will remain excluded by choice. The success of the SABB Awareness Campaign will manifest in education reforms, instituted community resources around cultivating tech entrepreneurs in high schools and colleges, channeling of philanthropic funds to scale up efforts that hone skills and talent in America's inner city communities, and other evidentiary indicators that offer insight into the impact our campaign is having via mass communications.

  • The campaign is one that is designed to help change the economic narrative across Black and Urban America. Currently, Black leaders and influencers are delivering antiquated messages to Black youth.

This campaign will catalyze a new economic narrative that is aligned with the 21st century knowledge-based, tech-driven innovation economy. This will result in development of new infrastructure and pipelines in economically disconnected communities that connect to existing innovation clusters and ecosystems.

We will see evidence of the narrative taking hold in metrics produced by schools, entrepreneurship. business growth, tech inclusion and regional economic competitiveness. See more here:
