had to take everything except the kitchen sink

5. Tongatapu and Eua
• Eua is a small Island located 40Km
Southeast of Tongatapu

Geologically the oldest island in Tonga
about 40 million years
• Is only accessible by a 3 hour ferry ride
• Population approx. 5000

13. The Fabrication Shop
We split into separate teams, this is our measure and fabrication team
We were very lucky to have the use of a warehouse and were able to spread out
26. In Summary
49 Houses had guttering fitted complete with
down pipe into working water tanks
3 School buildings fitted with guttering
In all we installed 414 m of spouting and 129 m of down pipe on 3 classroom
blocks, 49 houses, 2 small roofs and a vanilla shed. We also replaced 60
metres of facia board and numerous truss extensions for the facia.
We worked with Mounga and Fa from MORDI and trained them in how to
accurately fabricate the steel spouting with end caps and droppers to the
correct length. They were trained in the use of tape measures, cutting with tin
snips, drilling with battery drills, use of pop rivet guns and silicon sealants.
