This document provides an overview of the first day back in a civics class. It instructs students to check their new seat assignments, introduce themselves to their new groupmates, and discuss class policies and procedures. It outlines the day's tasks, which include predicting topics for the civics class and analyzing a photo in small groups. It introduces the first unit on citizenship, which will cover defining citizenship, legal means of becoming a US citizen, and citizen obligations and responsibilities at different government levels.
