1. Water pollution refers to any chemical, physical, or biological change in the quality of water that has a
harmful effect on any living thing which drinks it, uses it, or lives in it.
Over 1 billion people worldwide lack access to safe drinking water. 5,000 people die each day due to
dirty drinking water.
Approximately 46% of the lakes in America are too polluted for fishing, aquatic life, or swimming.
Take action and spread awareness!
To help you should not throw litter into
rivers, lakes, or oceans and also help clean
up any litter you find.
Use manure instead of fertilizers. Fertilizers wash
away with rainwater into rivers and can cause
horrible effects to aquatic species.
