5. Step 1
● Malted Barley and other grains are crushed
in a mill
● They are crushed to help extract sugar
6. Step 2
● Crushed grains fall into mash tun
● Boiling water extracts the sugars
● Mix with grains is separated with lauter tun
● Leftover grain sold
