The Social Digitization Workshop aimed to create digital content for the Silesian Digital Library by providing training, technical services, and equipment access to 50 participating institutions. Key beneficiaries included the global population who would have access to new digital content through Europeana, participants who gained practical skills, students who received internships, and senior citizens engaged in life-long learning activities. Outcomes included over 500,000 digital scans added to the library and Europeana, training 56 staff members from 26 institutions, technical support and scans for 8 institutions, and professional experience for 39 student interns.
