• Cultivated relationship with District 1-State of Florida-Vocational Rehabilitation
office and negotiated assignment of a Native American liaison specifically
appointed to assist the local Native community with vocational rehabilitation
issues
• Developed and implemented the Mentor-Protégé Program targeting Native
Americans with disabilities
• Managed all aspects off-reservation targeting the 30% of Poarch Creek Indian
population in Escambia County, FL; providing a microcosm of the same programs
available on-reservation by working with all Poarch Creek Indian departments
• Developed partnership with the Florida State Rural Development Council
which resulted in a Poarch Creek Indian member being appointed to same
council, as well as the receipt by the Empowerment Project of over $500,000 of
Avon personal care and gift products to be distributed to a variety of local

product to distribute to our clients and Poarch Creek Indian members
