Pros:
• Low cost – software installed on existing lectern PC + Webcam w mic
• Fully automated - the lecturer doesn¹t need to do anything to be recorded
as long as session booked in advance
• Microphone is built into the webcam and gives decent quality audio as
long as lecturer doesn¹t walk too far away
• Can record talking-head webcam video footage alongside the screen
recording
Cons:
• External laptop screen will not be recorded
• The lecturer has to log in to the lectern computer
• If a presenter logs out or restarts or crashes the lectern computer, the
recording will fail
• No live webcasting
