Case: Genomics Momenta 2012 - 2001
1. project case
Genomics Momenta 2012-2001
Organising the leading network event in the Dutch life sciences
• Each year the event concept was refined to reflect the
objectives and themes in the year in question. Formerly known
as Genomics Momentum, each year Life Sciences Momentum
attracted around 500 participants.
2. Genomics Momenta
We were asked to:
Develop a concept that would allow the Netherlands Genomics Initiative
to profile itself each year.
What we delivered:
• Developing a formula that mixes the idea of a conference and a
networking event. The day was structured with interesting lectures
and ample time for networking. We created the Plaza, the place of
choice for everyone who is anyone in Dutch life sciences.
• We are extremely happy and proud to have initiated and organised
all editions of Momentum. The final 12th edition of this highly
successful annual meeting was held on 20 November 2012
in the Fokker Terminal, The Hague.

Gathered in the Passenger Terminal Amsterdam, almost
300 participants listened to NGI’s plans for the period
2008 - 2012, presented by Diederik Zijderveld, Director of
NGI.
9. Genomics Momentum 2006
“Genomics: Ready for the next step”
9 November 2006, Van Nelle Ontwerpfabriek, Rotterdam
Genomics Momentum 2006 explored the opportunities for
further developing the application of genomics in various
fields and for further advancement of the technologies
themselves. But is genomics ready for that next step?
The answer is a definite ‘yes’, judging from the
enthusiastic and lively atmosphere created by the 600
Dutch and international participants during the workshops
and at the exhibition on Genomics Plaza, covering 50
stands from a variety of companies and organisations.
