2. What is Disciple course?
• It is a made up of four sets of 32- to 34-week
courses that can transform Church members into
Disciples of Jesus Christ.
• It begins with a broad-based understanding of
the Bible but is essentially a plan for:
 Church renewal;
 Leadership development; and
 Serving our Lord Jesus Christ

3. Disciple course benefits
• It exposes participants to 70% of the Bible and 100% through
the “If you want to know more” option.
• It reveals and demystifies many scriptural truths through
group sharing and discussion.
• It not only provides Information but also Transformation so
members can become Disciples of Jesus Christ. (Members pay
subscriptions, but Disciples give offerings of gifts/tithes,
prayers and service.)

4. More benefits
• It creates bonds of trust, friendship and intimacy among participants.
(Members are mere acquaintances but Disciples become part of a body,
with Christ as the head.)
• It exposes the Church to the Spiritual Gifts of the participants.
• When Disciples arise, so to will their whole-hearted willingness to serve in
Church.
(Members demand rights and entitlements (like in a club) but Disciples
understand their purpose is to serve our Lord.)
• It can be a main engine to grow our Church and courageously advance
God’s Kingdom on earth

5. Who should participate
• Newly baptised Church members and any Christian wanting to know the Word of God
more intimately.
• Church members who want to be more acquainted with the Bible.
• Serving Church members who have yet to immerse themselves in the Bible, especially:
 SG leaders,
 Those serving in Church Ministries,
 BB, GB mentors,
 MYF councillors,
 Sunday School teachers,
 Kindergarten Christian teachers.
 Church office/administration Christian workers.
• Disciple graduates wanting a refresher course (they may have completed the course
many years ago).
