Rob Legato discusses how the human
mind works and alters what it can
see, what it can remember , and how it
reacts through the special effects and
illusions of live film footage. He
demonstrates the special effects of
films he worked with and shows the
audience the scene in the making
comparing and contrasting the props
they’ve used to the real thing. He
briefly explains how the props can just
blend into reality, making our minds
think it’s real.

delays and used hand motion to get
the audience’s attention. He spoke
clearly and stood on top of his game.
He maintained the engagement with
the audience by humoring them with
short moments he had while he was on
task with the production of the film’s
