 The Mahindra XUV 500 is developed at the
Mahindra research valley in Chennai india,
the XUV has undergone extensive testing so there is
no chance of nags in the car. Since each and every
process of the manufacturing is carried out in India
the price of this car is astonishing low.
 Introductory price is highly competitive.
 Mahindra has used aggressive pricing strategy for
XUV 500 by offering features of high end SUVs at
starting price about 11 lakhs.

PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION
 Mahindra & Mahindra has more than 36,000 active
parts handled by over 800 vendors through hub and
spoke model.
 Mahindra has its own logistics & it operates a fleet of
over 15,000 vehicles.
 Mahindra has a capacity to produce up to 3,000
XUV 500 vehicles per month, is looking at increasing
the capacity to 5,000 vehicles per month to meet the
growing demand in the domestic market.
 Even if Mahindra were to expand capacity, it would
not be easy to ramp up as suppliers would have to
meet the demand.
 As a unique customer-centric measure, M&M has
decided to undertake an XUV500 draw. This will
also ensure a reasonable waiting period for the
customers selected in the XUV500 draw.
 The company has enlisted the services of consultant
Deloitte to guide it through the booking process,
which would provide the right approach for
allotments.
PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION
 Mahindra is in discussion with the Russian
distributor of SsangYong, its korean subsidiary, in
exploring the possibility of assembling Mahindra
vehicles in Russa.
