1. Dear, Mr. McNeil
As a writer my writings have evolved to hold a more advanced
level of grammar. I use more words and go into greater detail through
my paragraphs. I often use better organization in my major papers than
I do in my responses. My editing skills have definitely increased. I make
far less errors and my works are more polished.I also edit others work
better as well I analyze their progression to see if the paper flows well
and if they need to revise some sentences to fix grammatical errors I do
that as well. From this class I have definitely learned a lot about
paragraph organization and how to make an effective thesis statement.
In the early stages of writing in this class my response papers were not
well detailed and didn’t flow well. But now I understand that I need to
be broad with my thesis, which gives me more to talk about. In my
major papers I take great care not to expand too much into the story
giving the reader every single thing that happens, which makes things
very boring and drawn out. I also eliminated the problem of using bad
reputable sources by using none and writing purely from my ideas
instead. In my papers I also try to find clever ideas that help my paper
more granted this takes time but well needed. I try to put a topic
2. sentence with the start of every paragraph giving me something to draw
off of. I find peer reviews and discussion with you most helpful because
it provides me with insight on how to improve my paper. I find that my
major papers were the most revised and most organized.
