2. Drawing is an important
process of invention for
Henry Moore. He uses his
drawing studies as
reference for his larger
public sculptures.

3. By taking different shapes from the internal and external body, Moore
adapts these forms to create anthropomorphic sculptures.

7. Drawing Exercise 1
Using a selection of different bones
and skeleton parts, make a page of
drawing studies in your sketchbook
using graphite or charcoal and chalk
on sugar/brown paper.

Develop some of these drawings
into a selection of possible
sculptures using your imagination

clay. Remember to look
closely at the object from
different angles and study
its structure whilst
modeling.
