One of the Leading entertainment companies in the UK are seeking a senior level Business Intelligence Analyst
to join their team. The BI team undertakes the design, development and support of a range of BI and
integration solutions. This covers major developments through to minor enhancements and bug fixes.
Role responsibilities:
* Consistently demonstrate an awareness of key project/business drivers.
* Drive the process of early definition of scope for the project delivery phases through the prioritisation of
requirements and deliverables based on key criteria such as business value and time-to-market.
* Logical and Physical Design for Integration, ETL, Data Warehouse and Reporting technical solutions in line
with requirements.
* Produce documentation to support solution design.
* Manage technical delivery and provide support to developers where required, including data warehouse
modelling.
* Drive key data architecture and solution data modelling decisions by demonstrating a working understanding
of the underlying data requirements, source systems and target business areas.
Essential Experience:
* Proven experience in a Business Analyst role responsible for capturing business process definitions and
business case definition for Business Intelligence systems.
* Proven experience and track record of systems/technical analysis and design of complex Business
Intelligence systems integration - sharing data between departments and with external suppliers and
customers.
* Proven knowledge and experience in Dimensional Modelling.
* Proven understanding of Agile methodologies, standards and process implementation and management.
* Strong verbal communication and relationship management skills.
* Self motivator with energy and drive for continuous improvement and a focus on delivering results.
* In-depth understanding of Business Intelligence best practice and principles.
* Data warehouse and ETL analysis and design.
* Experience of implementing and integrating substantial packaged and bespoke systems.
* Excellent SQL skills.
* Proven development skills in at least two of the following: Netezza, Oracle, Ab Initio, Unix scripting.
* Business-critical, high-availability systems experience.
* Experience within a successful, fast-moving and highly commercial environment.
