Monica Gonzalez completed her service learning hours in Mrs. Mariana Bryson's kindergarten classroom at Miami Springs Elementary School. Mrs. Bryson teaches language arts and reading to two groups of 20 students each, mostly Hispanic. On the 100th day of school, students colored in 100 circles and answered what they would do with $100. For Dr. Seuss day, students drew pictures of where they would eat green eggs and ham. During St. Patrick's day activities, students made rainbows out of fruit loops and matched Lucky Charms cereal shapes to worksheet shapes. Monica felt she had a wonderful experience in Mrs. Bryson's exemplary classroom.

today were 2. and 3. The students used their skills to evaluate numbers and
were also thinking critically and creatively.

the shapes of the marshmallows. I believe that we

to analyze as well as use creativity, needless to say today
was a fun day!
8. I had a wonderful experience in Mrs. Bryson’s class this semester. She is truly an
exemplary teacher, she gives her students her all! I hope to be as good an educator
as her one day in my own classroom. I am very excited to continue my journey to
becoming a teacher!
Thank you!
