Instructions on how to make various toy mechanisms using tech card

1. Place the box net face down

2. Bend up the flaps

3. Bend up the flaps

4. Fix the sides in place using the yellow fasteners

5. Get the net for the bracket

6. Bend the bracket into shape

7. Fix the back of the bracket with a yellow fastener

8. Place the bracket on the top of the main box

9. Fix the bracket in place with 2 yellow fasteners

10. Thread the axle through one side of the box and an
egg cam

11. Thread the axle through the other side of the box

12. Hold the axle in place with sponge washers

14. Add the second axle and the crank. Try you
mechanism and draw an annotated diagram

15. Finished! You have completed the egg cam
mechanism

16. Take apart the egg cam mechanism until left with box

17. Attach the side of the box with the bracket

18. Add the axle and snail cam

19. Hold axle in place with sponge washers

20. Add the second axle and crank

21. Now test and draw an annotated diagram of your
snail cam mechanism

22. Take apart the snail cam mechanism and add an eff
cam through the centre

23. Hold the axle in place with sponge washers

24. Add the crank

25. Draw a line along the top 3 dots of the beam net

26. Cut through the sides of the beam net where the line
is drawn - DON’T cut through the middle!

27. Score the middle along the drawn line

28. Bend up the sides of the beam

29. Attach the beam. Draw an annotated diagram of your
egg cam beam mechanism

30. Add legs and a snail cam. Draw an annotated diagram
of your snail cam beam mechanism
