2. Have you ever wondered whether
offering free gift to prospects is the
right thing to do?
After all people wanting something for
free are often not going to be buyers
are they?
I want to discuss whether you should
offer products for free or not.
3. There are people that we call freebie
seekers and all they want to do is to
get as much information as possible for
free.
It doesn't matter how much you offer
them they will only take it if it is free
and they will never buy anything from
you.
4. The truth is that freebie seekers are
not action takers.
They are too busy looking for free
gifts to actually implement
anything that they might receive.
5. Someone who buys something is
far more likely to take action
because they have had to make
a sacrifice whether big or small to
gain access to it.
6. Therefore it would seem that
offering free gifts is a bad thing to
do.
However, I disagree…
7. When you market your business
your focus should be on
developing trusting relationships
with your prospects.
8. One of the best ways that you
can do this is by creating content
that your prospects can read or
watch and develop a better
understanding of what you can
offer.
9. If someone really wants to
improve their business they will
take action whether they receive
something for free or not.
10. Therefore the purpose of your free gift
is to develop further trust and to build
your credibility as someone who is able
to provide the help that your prospect
is looking for.
It's about adding value.
11. You can give as much value as you
like but if that person is not interested
in seeing an improvement and making
the effort to go away and work on
achieving that improvement then they
are unlikely to see any results.
12. In fact there are plenty of buyers who
do the very same thing and are
addicted to buying products but
never actually implement what is
taught and therefore never see any
results.
13. In the end if you are building a
business where you want to help other
people, you will want them to see
results and therefore you will be
targeting a specific type of person -
someone who is willing to put in the
effort and time.
14. Therefore it is better to add value and
build a deep relationship with your
prospects by offering free gifts and
products so that those who want to
make a difference in their lives are
blown away by the value you give for
free and are willing to purchase from
you to gain even more.
