This document outlines a plan to build a news innovation ecosystem in Africa with three main components: 1) Growing community through chapters across Africa and skills development events, 2) An ideas marketplace through funding programs, and 3) A network to support projects focusing on open data, data journalism, media as a platform, and replication of successful initiatives. The goal is to foster impact, skills, and capacity through community engagement, showcase events, and catalytic funding programs.
