Dean Judith M. L. Hansen, Ph.D. lead launch of the Community College of Qatar (CCQ) and consistently sought to enrich the educational experience of her students and make CCQ a staple of the Qatar community. Dr. Judith Hansen’s efforts have effected such initiatives as a partnership between CCQ and the Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO).

Dean Judith M. L. Hansen, Ph.D. lead
launch of the Community College of Qatar
(CCQ) and consistently sought to enrich
the educational experience of her students
and make CCQ a staple of the Qatar
community. Dr. Judith Hansen’s efforts
have effected such initiatives as a
partnership between CCQ and the
Qatar Petrochemical Company (QAPCO).

Qatar Petrochemical Company
The QAPCO-CCQ partnership will allow
both organizations to improve human
resource development for the State of
Qatar. Students at CCQ will have the
opportunity to seek actual work
experience with QAPCO, and QAPCO
employees, in turn, will have the ability to
enroll in various professional courses at
the school.

4. Community College of Qatar with
Qatar Petrochemical Company
Recently, the two organizations signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to
reflect this new partnership. In the MoU,
QAPCO also agreed to sponsor a new
quarterly newspaper called Vantage Point
that CCQ will launch in the near future. In
addition, QAPCO agreed to sponsor
various field trips and recruitment fairs for
CCQ students.

The QAPCO partnership will directly
expose CCQ students to the oil and gas
industry and provide employment
prospects upon graduation. More
